The UPS (uninterruptible power supply) is an expansion module for our DIN rail modules. It is used as supply protection for the processor in the event of a power failure. Short-term faults in the power supply are bridged by this module: A control signal then provides the impulse to shut down the processor in a targeted manner.
The UPS is installed in conjunction with a 12V power supply unit.
